Scholes hails Solskjaer for exciting Man Utd fans

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for getting fans excited again.

Solskjaer has won all six of his games in charge since taking over as interim boss for the rest of the season after the sacking of Jose Mourinho a month ago, forcing their way back into the argument for a top-four finish and Champions League football last year that was looking more and more of a long-shot.

"He's got back the smiles and the fans," said club legend Scholes. “That's the most important thing.

“People didn't want to go to the games. Now, it's impossible to get tickets. The stadium is full.

“Everyone is looking forward to seeing Manchester United again."

Scholes added: “He always smiles. He'll get the best out of the players. He makes them feel 10 feet tall.

“That's what Sir Alex did. Even when he omitted you from the team, he made you feel like you were doing things right. Ole is very similar. He wants to encourage the players."
