Scholes expects Man Utd to continue the building process

Despite winning an unprecedented 19th title, Manchester United will continue to build according to retired star Paul Scholes.

Even though they took out the English Premiership and were runners-up in Europe, Scholes expects Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson to strengthen his squad so it continually improves following the loss of Edwin van der Sar, Gary Neville and himself.

"The manager will know what he needs and if he needs to buy players or he's happy with what he's already got," Scholes told the club's official website.

"Over the last couple of years he's not really added that much to it, and if he feels the need to do it now, he'll do it. He's built three or four teams now and if he needs to do it again, I'm sure he will.

"I don't need replacing. I don't know where the answer lies about a replacement. That is up to the manager and his staff. There is no doubt there is a lot of talent at this club. You only have to look at the youth team this year and what they have done. There are some great players."
