Manchester United legend Paul Scholes says their top four hopes will depend on Alexis Sanchez's form.

While Scholes believes his former side can get back into the Champions League spots, he knows the form of Sanchez is key.

“They've got a chance [to finish fourth], obviously if Chelsea win their came in hand they go above them," Oldham boss Scholes said.

“But with the way they are going, the injuries could be an issue and they still have some big games, but we need to see how they recover.

“Sanchez has to come into form, we know that, if United are going to improve.

“It's going to be tight, but United need Champions League football.

“They want to be in the best competition and that is exactly what Ole will be targeting for next season."
