Kasper Schmeichel says Kelechi Iheanacho's recent form comes as no surprise to his Leicester City teammates.

The Nigerian scored his 10th goal in seven games to send City into the FA Cup final, taking his season tally to 15.

Some believed Iheanacho would never live up to his £25m price-tag, but his teammates always had faith.

"We all saw what he could do in training," Foxes stalwart Schmiechel said.

"He just needed that luck, that decision, or that goal. "We knew he had the ability, we've seen it every day since he joined the club. We know the quality he possesses and now the world is seeing it."
