Schmeichel desperate for more Leicester silverware

Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel is hoping the club can take a step to winning silverware next season.

The Foxes goalkeeper is settled at the club and has no thoughts about departing.

However, he will not deny that he is an ambitious player who wants to win trophies.

And the 32-year-old will be hoping boss Brendan Rodgers can lead them to a cup success next term.

"My career has been what it's been," Schmeichel said on Joe Hart's YouTube series, Gloved.

"I feel like I should have another 300 games in the Premier League and I should have another 50, 60 caps than I do, but it wouldn't have made me the person or goalkeeper that I am.

"It's all been an education. It all is an education, it never stops.

"For me, I'm happy but I'm not content. I want more. Once you've tried it, you want it again. You want to try something like that again.

"That feeling, you can't compare it to anything. Once you've had that feeling of winning, it'll never subside.

"The day where that subsides, where my will and my passion to put in all the hours, that's the day I'll retire. If it ever does, I don't know.

"If I don't have that passion, then I'm not me."
