Chelsea's Marco van Ginkel admits he is desperate to make a positive impact at Stoke City.
Dutchman van Ginkel has endured a difficult period over the last two years due to injuries and has struggled to get a consistent run of games under his belt as a result.
The young midfielder is now optimistic of staying fit upon his season-long loan move to Stoke and has expressed his desire to make a huge impact at the Britannia Stadium.
The 22-year-old, who spent last season with AC Milan, told the Stoke Sentinel: "Of course I want to be fit and playing games. I've come to Stoke to be a good part of the team, I want to be important for the team.
"After two games with Chelsea I've had a lot of injuries so I couldn't play a lot of games. This year I hope I can play a lot, get used to the Premier League. I'm very excited about it."
