Wigan defender Paul Scharner has told the Daily Star that he has no intentions of rejoining Steve Bruce at Sunderland. "I have decided that I want to change clubs," the defender stated.

"My fee is £6 million, and there has been interest from four clubs in England and Germany."

When questioned about his former boss, the Austrian was dismissive.

"I can't see myself joining Sunderland. In footballing terms, they are certainly not an improvement on Wigan. Besides, I did not get on too well with Bruce's style of play."
