Schalke captain Benedikt Höwedes has welcomed new manager Roberto di Matteo.
It is the former Fulham manager's first job since leaving Chelsea.
"He is a rather quiet guy, but has clear ideas and his work is very well structured," commented Howedes.
"Di Matteo exudes calm.
"When I go to the training ground, everything is already prepared for the next session. He works very closely with the players."
