Schalke are ready to trigger the permanent option in the loan deal for Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The 20-year-old defender joined the Bundesliga outfit on loan in January for a 1.5 million euro fee.

As a result, Schalke would be prepared to trigger their option to buy for 25 million euros plus five million in add-ons, according to Bild.

The Schalke coaching staff view Todibo as a player with a big future and have been impressed with his performances in the five games he has played for them.
