Schalke have been offered Southampton defender Yan Valery.

The young French fullback is available from Saints and has been offered to Bundesliga strugglers Schalke, says Sky Deutschland.

Valery, contracted to Saints until 2023, would move to S04 on-loan with the view to signing permanently in June.

The 21 year-old has come through the youth system at Southampton, but has struggled for minutes this term.

He has only managed Carabao Cup action so far this season.
