The race for Manchester City winger Rabbi Matondo is heating up.

The Wales international has turned down a new contract offer from City and ready to leave.

BILD says Schalke are now favourites to land Matondo with negotiations now well down the road.

Schalke have already made one offer for Matondo turned down, but will return with a new bid.

Borussia Monchengladbach are also interested in the midfielder.
