Relegated Schalke have sent a SOS to Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale.

Schalke fans held up a banner reading "Bale come to S04" during the Euros clash with Denmark and later the German club's Twitter account got in on the act, sending a tweet with their pitch to Gareth Bale in a bid to seduce the Real Madrid man.

The tweet, from the club's official English-language account showed a photo of a local golf course, along with the message "Gelsenkirchen is ready for you, Gareth".

The forward is a well known golf fanatic and having golfing options nearby will surely be a must for any potential future club should he leave Los Blancos this summer.

Meanwhile, Bale has rubbished suggestions he could be set to retire from football or even the international game, despite the rumours circulating in recent weeks.
