Former Barcelona striker Javier Saviola is backing their move for Robert Lewandowski.

The Bayern Munich centre-forward is angling for a move to Barca as he seeks a 'new adventure'.

Saviola told Sport: "As a forward, I love Lewandowski. If I had to choose, I would choose him above all. As a striker I base myself on what my role was.

"Between him and (Karim) Benzema we are talking about the best strikers in the world today.

"Benzema is already at Madrid, and Lewandowski would be the piece. But at Barça, with the signings, that position is already well covered with Ferran (Torres) and players who have come who give him a lot of strength, power and a lot of goals. We'll see what they surprise us with."
