Derby midfielder Robbie Savage is delighted the club kick-off their 2010/11 Championship season with an away match against Leeds. The Rams face the promoted Whites at Elland Road on August 7 and the former Wales international cannot wait for the new campaign to begin.
He told the club's official website: "It is the best start we could have hoped for to be honest, apart from being at Pride Park.
"I can't wait for the big kick-off and I would imagine Elland Road will be more or less full for the game. Leeds have been striving to get back into the Championship for some time and I am sure they will want to kick off with a win.
"The opening games look quite tasty and I'm really excited about the season ahead. I may be 36 this year but I feel as good as ever and I can't wait to get stuck in again."
