Saul Niguez insists he's fully committed to Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder was linked with a €150m move to Manchester City last week.

However, Saul says: "Atlético presented me with a long-term renewal and I did not doubt it. In the world of football you never know what can happen because it does not always depend on you. But when I signed the extension of my contract for nine years I secured my future here.

"They offered me seven seasons and I asked for two more to finish at 32 years of age. From there, I'll renew campaign to campaign. I was very convinced and I was not afraid, although it's always good to have other important teams come looking for you."
