Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi is interesting Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle are understood to have checked out one of Italy's newest internationals in Sassuolo star Sensi.

The 23-year-old is catching the eye in Serie A, with the Magpies scouting the 5ft 6in attacking midfielder just before his call up to play for Roberto Mancini's side at international level.

The Magpies aren't alone with their interest in Sensi, with both AC Milan and Inter Milan keen on the former Cesena man.

Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder in the last six months.
