Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi was delighted to feature in their Euros qualifying win against Liechtenstein.
Sensi had only one previous cap, in November's friendly against the USA, but he opened the scoring in last night's 6-0 rout.
“It was an unforgettable evening, as you can never forget your first Italy goal, much like the first in Serie A," he told Rai Sport.
“We put the right spirit into the game and a winning mentality right from the start. We never lost concentration."
Sensi added: “I dedicate the goal to my girlfriend and my family, who were in the stands tonight."
