Sassuolo sporting director Giovanni Carnevali believes Gianluca Scamacca will leave West Ham United this summer.

The Italy striker left Sassuolo for the Irons at the beginning of the season.

Scamacca's first year in England has been hit by injury and Carnevali believes he should be playing at a higher level.

"I haven't spoken to Gianluca, but I wouldn't be surprised (if he leaves)," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"For Juve or any other Italian big team it would be a possibility. There are not many 'nines' with Scamacca's qualities in Serie A."
