Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has told club chiefs they need a midfield signing after victory over Newcastle.

With Cesc Fabregas having left the club yesterday, Sarri hopes we will be able to bring in a replacement for the midfielder.

He said, "As you have seen today, Jorginho was in trouble and on the bench there wasn't a player for that position, so I need a player for that position, I need another option for Jorginho.

"The club knows very well my opinion. I need a player there so it depends on the club's decision, I can't do anything more."
