Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is going back to Serie A to boost his midfield.

The Mirror says Chelsea will look to outbid Juventus and Inter Milan to land Italian youngster Nicolo Barella for €45million.

Reports in Italy suggest the Cagliari youngster is in-demand after winning his first senior Italy cap in October.

Sarri is now ready to take the 21-year-old midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

For their part, Cagliari have hopes of clinging onto Barella until the end of the season.
