Maurizio Sarri is pushing for a massive £180m overhaul of Chelsea's squad ahead of his appointment.
Sarri has agreed personal terms with Chelsea to replace manager Antonio Conte.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Sarri wants to return to former club Napoli for defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
He also wants to sign right-back Elseid Hysaj and midfielder Piotr Zieliński from the Azzurri.
The pair are available for a combined £100m and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis would be unable to block either deal going through if Chelsea triggered their release clauses.
On top of the Napoli trio, a swap deal between Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain is also on the cards.
Chelsea are determined to recoup the £60m they paid Real Madrid for Morata less than 12 months ago.
And because Juve cannot afford a straight transfer, Sarri is hoping the Serie A champions will consider a straight swap for Higuain.
