Maurizio Sarri has jokingly suggested Chelsea fans are unsure what the term "Sarri-ball" means.
Chelsea have begun impressively under the Italian's tutelage, with his high-pressing and attacking style atheistically pleasing for supporters.
Before the season started Sarri tried to explain his style of play, stating: "I don't know exactly. It's not my definition. I don't know.
"In Naples we played at great speed, ball forward, ball back, with continuity, with great speed with the strikers. So it was fun for the supporters."
And after Chelsea supporters have run away with the "Sarri-ball" moniker, the man himself has laughed it off.
He said: "The whole Sarri-ball thing amuses me. I don't go on social media, but I did see the fans post these videos with the most passes.
"If I have to be honest, the Chelsea fans aren't even sure what Sarri-ball means. They invented this term, pronounce it all in one word and carry on. It's very funny."
