New Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri will count on retired Andrea Barzagli as part of his staff.

Sarri will be presented as new Juventus coach on Thursday.

It's been confirmed Giovanni Martusciello will leave Inter Milan to become Sarri's No2 at Juve. The pair worked together at Empoli.

Sarri will also have Barzagli as part of his coaching panel.

The defender retired at the end of last season. Sarri appreciates Barzagli's tactical intelligence and also admires his human qualities.

There's also a confidence Barzagli will be good for the locker room as they prepare to work with a new coach for the first time in five years.
