Santos whizkid Rodrygo has warned Real Madrid he has no interest starting his Spanish career with Castilla.

Vinicius Junior followed that path when arriving from Flamengo last summer, but Rodrygo doesn't wish to do the same when he joins Real in June.

Asked if he would stay at Santos if he was asked to play for Castilla, he said: "Yes, with certainty."

Rodrygo has confirmed he expects to do preseason with Real.

"I have to appear at Real Madrid mid-year so I have to continue giving the maximum with Santos until that moment."
