Santos are attempting to secure a new loan agreement for AC Milan attacker Robinho.

The Brazilian is currently playing in Brazil with Santos, with the arrangement due to end this summer.

Santos have the option to sign Robinho permanently, with his Milan deal running to 2016, but do not have the finances to cover the deal.

Instead, Santos hope to convince Robinho and Milan to accept a 12-month loan extension.

This week, Santos reached agreement with Robinho's camp and now hope to find common ground with Milan. Santos are willing to cover a large percentage of Robinho's salary.
