Sandro Tonali is delighted to be an AC Milan player.
The midfielder joins Milan on-loan from Brescia with a permanent option.
"My dream came true. It is one of the dreams that many children have. I decided to post that photo on Instagram because it seemed perfect to me as it described the moment I left the Rossoneri colors to embark on a new path and now I return to this team. It's a sign," he said, before explaining why he took the No8 shirt.
“I chose it because it has a meaning both as a midfielder and as a Milan midfielder. It was worn by a player who made the history of Milan like (Rino) Gattuso. I called him and he answered me as a coach telling me that I didn't even have to ask for it, that I had to take it and break everything."
On the emotion of meeting director Paolo Maldini, Tonali added: “As a child I admired him and one day I hoped, at most, to be able to take a picture with him. Now I find myself working on things together. It is a beautiful effect to work alongside an AC Milan champion. It's a wonderful feeling."
