San Jose Earthquakes have revealed that their opening match at Avaya Stadium has been sold out.
The Californian club will play their very first fixture at the new soccer-specific venue against the Chicago Fire on March 22 and will have a full capacity of 18,000 according to a club statement.
"The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the inaugural match at Avaya Stadium is sold out to the general public," read the statement.
"The inaugural match is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 against the Chicago Fire.
"Under 1000 tickets are still available for the match as part of season ticket packages. Individual tickets for the remaining 17 games at Avaya Stadium are still available, including the second match on April 5."
The Quakes moved out of Santa Clara's Buck Shaw Stadium at the end of the 2014 MLS season and have now made their new home near the San Jose International Airport.
