Samu Castillejo says he expects to stay with Valencia.

The midfielder arrived last summer from AC Milan, signing for Rino Gattuso, who has since been removed and replaced by Ruben Baraja.

Castillejo said: "I have a contract for another two years and the idea is to continue.

"I was welcomed with love; the first part of the season was good but with the change of coach the idea of the game changed, it wasn't suited to my characteristics. Then I also had a bit of difficulty due to injuries."
