Sampdoria veteran Fabio Quagliarella is delighted to be back in the Italy squad.
The 36 year-old has scored 21 goals this season.
“I'm living through this experience with great enthusiasm and serenity," he told Rai Sport.
“I'm at an age where you're able to manage emotions, so it's all very nice in the sense that I'm very happy to be here.
“This is the Italian national team, there's no need to give caps away. if the CT calls up certain players, it's because he's convinced they can give a big hand and that's why I'm here.
“Being called up by the Azzurri is a great source of satisfaction. There are so many strong young lads here and for me it's nice to be here, even if I'm playing it by ear."
