Sampdoria striker Mauro Icardi has likened himself to Gabriel Batistuta.

Icardi is expected to move to Inter Milan this summer.

"People compare me to Batistuta and he is the player I base myself on. I think I'm a lot like him, too," Icardi told El Litoral.

"I would love to win as much as he did. I have great technique, a good shot and I'm pretty good in the air."
