Leicester City have reportedly lodged a bid for Sampdoria's Eder.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the opening offer from the Foxes is believed to be around £7.9million (€10.5m) with a three-year deal in place for the 29-year-old.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has made no secret of his desire to bring in a new striker this month and has reportedly turned his attentions to the Brazil-born Italy international.
Inter Milan are also keen on Eder, who has 12 Serie A goals this season, but are not prepared to pay the €15million valuation.
Sampdoria are pondering Leicester's offer which was sent through on Sunday as the East Midlands club look to remain at the top of the Premier League table after a stellar first part of the season.
