Sampdoria coach Walter Zenga is pleased to kickoff the season against Carpi.

Carpi are preparing for a historic first Serie A campaign.

Zenga said: “We are proud to host Carpi in their first Serie A game, helping with their baptism in the top flight and it is a match that will enter history.

“I will also be taking on a colleague, Fabrizio Castori, who always did well and took a long journey to deservedly reach Serie A.

“Our second game against Napoli has a special fascination to it and it's only right that we get big clashes in the opening rounds."
