Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic played Samuel Eto'o off the bench for their 1-1 draw with Sassuolo.

The former Everton striker is yet to start for Samp since his arrival.

Mihajlovic, referring to last week's training ground row, said: "Eto'o apologised, we cleared the air, he knows that he got it wrong and is loved by everyone in the locker room. We hope he can reach full fitness as soon as possible.

"He worked hard today and is not at his best, but these little chunks of matches help him to find form. When he's at the same fitness levels as his teammates, then he will play."
