Sampdoria coach Marco Giampaolo admits he feels let down by AC Milan - but personal feelings won't get in the way of facing Inter Milan this weekend.
Milan are two points ahead of Inter going into the final round of the season.
Former Milan coach Giampaolo's Sampdoria will meet Inter and he said: “My rapport with Milan has nothing to do with the present. I am at Sampdoria now and Milan are doing their part. It [coaching Milan] wasn't a real opportunity for me, I didn't have enough time there," he said.
“Venezia collected a point against Roma despite being relegated already. We beat Fiorentina, who were fighting for Europe. This season's results prove that games must be played.
"Nothing should to be taken for granted because nobody likes to make a bad impression. Games are to be played and England is a reference point in this aspect."
