Sampdoria chief Carlo Osti has confirmed they're closing in on Inter Milan midfielder Duncan.

Duncan spent last season is on-loan with Livorno.

"Duncan is very close to joining us, as over a year and a half at Livorno he showed good things and we believe he can continue his maturation process here.

"He will probably have his medical on Friday."
