Sampdoria vice-president Antonio Romei admits they're interested in Stefano Pioli.
Pioli is a candidate to replace Marco Giampaolo, who is set to take charge of AC Milan.
"President Massimo Ferrero and Giampaolo met, and they've taken some time to reflect before making a decision," Romei told Sky Sport Italia.
“For now they're just rumours about him leaving, but we're used to considering them as such.
“Giampaolo is a great coach being linked to great clubs, but Samp are one themselves."
