Bayern Munich chief Matthias Sammer insists no-one inside the club wants to force Mario Gotze's sale.
The Germany midfielder has been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal after criticism from honorary president Franz Beckenbauer over his on-field attitude.
. But Sammer says: "He has worked very hard this year and will certainly take the next step next year.
"At Bayern Munich, it is sometimes not so easy, but if you're here, it's because you're a giant.
"He played better with us than in Dortmund. He became a world champion with us and he has won us great titles."
Gotze's deal with Bayern runs to 2017.
