Blackburn Rovers on-field captain Christopher Samba hopes any new owner will be careful with their transfer spending.
Samba wants the club to avoid falling into the same extravagant trap as Manchester City once their £300m takeover is completed.
He said: "Last year we saw at Manchester City how difficult it is. Just because they spent so much money it doesn't mean you will necessarily improve.
"You have to find harmony between the players, the right mentality in the team."
