Sam Surridge wins new Bournemouth deal

Bournemouth striker Sam Surridge has won a new contract.

The 20-year-old is out on loan at League Two Oldham and won Player of the Month in October after five goals in four games.

He will remain with the Cherries until at least 2021 and told their official website: “It's a nice feeling and I'm really pleased.

“I've been doing well out on loan and it's almost like being rewarded for what I've been doing and it's going well so far."

He added: "To be playing football at my age in the league is great, it will give me lots of experience for when I come and back and hopefully that will stand me in good stead to be around the first team.

"I've had lots of good experiences out on loan so far and it's almost been an upwards curve. I want to keep playing and keep scoring and see what happens. I want to keep showing that I have earned the new deal."
