Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has ended talk of a move for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
There has been speculation that Bayern were eyeing Ronaldo as a replacement for Barcelona target Robert Lewandowski.
Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from United in recent days, with reports suggesting he's unhappy with the lack of transfer activity at Old Trafford.
But Salihamidzic says Bayern won't be competing for his signature.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a top player with an outstanding career. However, stories on a potential deal with Bayern are not true," he said.
"These rumours have no truth."
