Hector Bellerin faces being replaced by William Saliba at Arsenal.
Saliba will sport the No2 shirt for Arsenal next season, according to the Premier League's official website.
This means the defender will inherit Bellerin's shirt, with the Spaniard to depart this summer.
The Spaniard is wanted back at Real Betis, where he spent last season on-loan, along with Villarreal and Atletico Madrid.
Despite no formal shirt number announcement, the Premier League's official website has Saliba down as Arsenal's number 2 - the same number he wore in Ligue 1 last term, where he spent the season with Olympique Marseille.
