Salernitana owner Danilo Iervolino has welcomed the appointment of sporting Walter Sabatini.
Iervolino bought the Serie A minnows earlier this month and former Roma chief Sabatini has returned to football to work with the new owner.
He said, "We will make two types of contract: one official, one in the gentlemen agreement style. We spoke clearly, right from the first minute of our discussion.
"Football is a professional industry, in which football results depend on many factors. One thing is to go back to Serie B without collecting points, another is to graze salvation and be able to start again with a very high head from the next day.
"I don't like losing the challenges, that's why we focus on immediacy. The priority, on the purely sporting side, is to stay up."
