Allan Saint-Maximin admits he's had many chances to leave Newcastle United.

However, the winger insists he's happy he chose to stay as the club enters a new era.

"Fighting at the top is honestly difficult because there are so many big teams with money, but everyone knows we have to be patient and find the right players" he said.

"So many teams try to have good money and build a good team. They try to do everything to win the Champions League, but it does not always happen at that time. We know we are far from there, but new and amazing things are on the way.

"I love Newcastle. I've had a lot of opportunities to leave the club to be honest, but I've always said you have to feel comfortable, and I'm really grateful for what the fans and the club give me. They take really good care of me."
