Newcastle United attacker Allan Saint-Maximin would like to see Nantes midfielder Ludovic Blas join him on Tyneside.

Blas has been superb for Antoine Kombouare's Nantes this season and has a contract to 2024.

He has been linked with a move away to England and Saint-Maximin told Goal: “Who would I like to attract to Newcastle? I would most certainly want my friends to join the club.

"I am thinking for example of Ludovic Blas. I really like the person and what he also does in Nantes.

"He scored a lot of goals. He is an essential element in the Nantes squad."
