Real Sociedad have sacked coach Eusebio Sacristan today.

Eusebio was dismissed after defeat to Getafe, with La Real announcing the decision this morning.

Imanol Alguacil, who coaches the club's reserve team, will step up to take charge to the end of this season.

La Real will play out the campaign with Alguacil in charge before seeking an experienced appointment this summer.

Eusebio and his No2, Juan Carlos de Andres, will be leaving the club, while in principle physical trainer, Gerardo Izagirre and the third coach, Mikel Labaka, remain at La Real.
