Sacked PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has emerged as an immediate candidate for Mikel Arteta's job at Arsenal.

Arteta's future with the Gunners is coming under increasing doubt as they slide down the Premier League table.

While he is confident of the backing of the board, Arteta's odds amongst bookies of suffering the sack are shortening.

And BILD says Arsenal chiefs are weighing up Tuchel's prospects after he became available following his Christmas Eve sacking by PSG. And it's suggested the former Borussia Dortmund coach is keen on pursuing his career in England.

Tuchel led PSG to the Ligue 1 title and also the Champions League final last season, but that still wasn't enough for PSG's owners.
