Fabio Liverani has been sacked by Parma.

Liverani was shown the door after last night's 3-0 defeat at Atalanta. The result leaves Parma in the dropzone.

Roberto D'Aversa is set to return to Parma to replace Liverani.

Parma president Kyle Krause said: "This morning we informed Fabio Liverani of the decision to part with him as our coach.

"I want to express my deepest gratitude to Fabio for his hard work and his leadership."
