Sacked Everton boss Martinez would be a hit at Celtic - Hibernian star Fyvie

Hibernian midfielder Fraser Fyvie is of the belief that sacked Everton manager Roberto Martinez would be a success at Celtic.

Following his exit from Goodison Park last week, the Spanish manager has been linked with the vacant post at Celtic Park.

Fyvie, who played under Martinez at Wigan Athletic, insists that the 42-year-old is right to be one of the favourites for the job.

"He will right up there for the Celtic job. He is a good manager and players like playing under him," said Fyvie.

"When I was at Wigan everyone loved him."

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is favourite to take the Parkhead vacancy while Martinez's fellow ex-Toffees boss David Moyes remains in the running following the departure of Ronny Deila, who quite despite delivering a fifth-straight Scottish premiership.
