Brescia have sacked coach Eugenio Corini after Sunday's defeat to Hellas Verona.

This season, Brescia have two wins, a draw and seven defeats in Serie A, scoring 10 goals and conceding 16.

But Corini did lead them back into Serie A this season.

In a short statement, Brescia confirmed: “Brescia Calcio club announce the dismissal of coach Eugenio Corini."

Diego Lopez is favourite to take the job, though ex-Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has also been mentioned.
