Sacked Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann wants to take time off rather than jump straight back into management.

Tottenham are seeking talks with Nagelsmann after Antonio Conte's departure on Sunday.

The 35-year-old was surprisingly dismissed by Bayern last Friday and has now become one of the most sought-after managers in Europe.

His immediate availability and the fact that he can be appointed without having to pay compensation make him a very attractive prospect.

However, BILD have reported Nagelsmann wants to take a breather as he seeks to get over his 'painful' Bayern exit.

Instead, the German wants to analyse what went wrong over his 21 months with Bayern before jumping back into management.
